West America is a beautiful place to visit. Picture blue skies, lush green trees and a wonderful breeze. There are many wonders that West America has to offer for when you decide to visit.Some of the most beautiful places in the West Americas are listed below to help you plan your next trip.

Yosemite National Park

 Located in western Sierra Nevada and Central California, this national park is a must visit. It is known by many for it’s beautiful waterfalls, lakes, mountains, glaciers, streams, and many more. It has attracted about 4 million visitors over the years. Yosemite National Park is home to a variety of plant and animal species as well as vegetation zones like oak woodland, lower montane forest, alpine, etc.

Arches National Park

 Arches National Park is one of the top in America, containing over 2,000 arches that were preserved from years and years ago in the Ice Age. Some of these arches are:

  • Delicate Arch: This is one of the stars attractions of the Arches National Park. You will be able hike up to it and see breathtaking views all around it.
  • Landscape Arch: This is the longest arch in the park, measuring 290 ft. across. This one mile hike will definitely be worth it, especially in the morning when the sun rises in the background.
  • Devil’s Garden: This area is picture perfect with a garden of many unique rock arches that formed during erosion.
  • Balanced Rock: Being one of the more popular features in the park, this landmark is a huge sandstone block that looks like it is balanced on a rock column. It is beautiful to see and take photographs of.

Channel Islands

 The Channel Islands are a chain of five islands located to the west of California. These islands include Santa Cruz, Anacapa, Santa Rosa, Santa Barbara, and San Miguel. These islands can be explored by kayak, by yacht, or by foot. Getting there is a breathtaking scenic experience in itself, but when you get there, make sure to have a relaxing day on the coast, go hiking and look for wildlife, go watch the whales, and enjoy the nightlife that each island has to offer.

Mount Hood

 Located in Oregon, Mount Hood is the second most climbed mountain in the world. It has 11 glaciers and has a year-round ski resort that is always available. It has 6 different areas for skiing and a trail to hike up to the top of the mountain. All around Mount Hood, you will also find farms that contain acres of orchards, lavender, and wildflower. You can visit an orchard to taste some wine and have some pie.
